Hello Peddlers fans,

has anyone heard the ripped off version of  'Comin Home' by a so-called 'Whizz Vienna?' It basically takes a few bars from the Peddlers original ( including Roy's vocals), loops them, adds some amateur embellishments then goes out under another title, no mention of The Peddlers.

It's like someone taking, say Hendrix, looping it, then calling it something else - except this wouldn't happen as the source is too well known.

I have just drawn this to the attention of the band - whether they are aware/ have licenced the song etc. This track is getting heavy airplay on Vienna's youth station FM4 - what a wonderful way to introduce a new generation to The Peddlers - if only they were credited! This up-start is relying on the relative obscurity of the tune to trade it as his own.

I am a musician, have used samples but always with subtlety and credit. Everytime I hear this bastardised version of this great tune, it makes me boil - let the kids hear the original and let The Peddlers get the credit.

Anyway, forgive the rant. That's what happens when someone messes with the great music of The Peddlers!

     Best Regards

Todd Brooker
