I remember watching the stills of the local cinema in the smalltown where I spent my childhood looking at stills from Blacula, Ilse, Jaws and not at least The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Dear Jürgen

Those films as well as German cinema in general stands out for me as something very special. While never having seen the Edgar Wallace films I know of their reputation. I didn't know Peter Thomas was in on these.

Unfortunaly I only know of the beginning and end (So to speak) of your cinema.

Do you think Werner Herzog would be interested in doing a documentary?

Just saw the ZDF produced program Flower Power (Not a mention of the Vieatnam war) a recount of the hippie movement yesterday from Swedish telivision. Included a wonderfully and funny put interview with Amon Düül.

To expand, Danish cinema in the postwar years was very guided towards Danish mentality humour.

I reckon German cinema during those decades was both similar but also deviant to that formular?

Eventually if copies of the film exists the filminstitute of Berlin could arrange a showing per request? Eventually within some logical frame.

I have previously made requests at the Danish Filminstitute and even were involved w. getting the MC5 A True Testimonial shown at the Copenhagen Night Filmfestival.
