As the website is so quiet, I thought I might make a controversial comment to get people talking.

I have been listening to The Peddlers about eighteen months and have obtained nearly everything they did. Even managed to pick up Roy Phillips very rare Heavy On The Light Side album on CD.

The music is wonderful! Only one album I never really play much is Suite London and this apparently their greatest. Have tried to like it but it just doesn't hit the mark for me.

Can someone please tell me where I'm going wrong?????????

Hi Peter,

I agree with you to some extent about Suite London as it is not as listenable as the other albums and it does take some listening to to get into it. As a concept album, its an album that needs to be listened to all the way through rather than picking out single tracks. Having said that, it is an extremely well thought out and well performed album that was probably quite a brave project to undertake as it was not like any of the previous ones.

I am amazed at the prices it commands and am still looking for a nice example to buy but not at £40+ !

Its only a matter of time surely that it will be released on

cd ?

Regards

Derek
