Darko 02 February 2005 15:14:07 | New fan Hello Everybody! I've just discovered the Peddlers through Zero 7's cover of I have seen; I cannot help chasing their album since that time (especially when there are over 2 songs written by R.P. I also wanted to know what was that Spanish sun single? Has anybody heard about it? Happy new year thus!!! Darko |

I have the "Spanish Sun" album and the title track with Roy on it is probably the best track on the album which seems to be a compilation of various spanish influenced songs by different artistes. Unless like me you want to own everything that the Peddlers have ever done I would not bother trying to find the album as its not the typical Peddlers stuff. You can find it on ebay sometimes for anything up to £20 if you still want to try and get it or does anyone know if there was a single put out ?. If your new to the "Peddlers" then I would recommend the double cd "How Cool is Cool" which is available through normal outlets. |

Hi Derek, my guess is because this site, as good and informative as it is, is pretty static. Not a lot happens here to generate or provoke discussion. The fact that the Peddlers receive little or no air play (that I'm aware of) also doesn't keep their collective brilliance in mind. And, of course, as they are no longer recording and releasing albums, discussions here can only be reminiscences of things past, ... mores the pity. So where do you want to start? How about the sheer brilliance in the change from Hammond Organ to Electric Piano on Girlie PS I Love You ?? Knocks me out every time! |

The album you are refering to is "Suite London" and has never officially been released on CD as yet. Because of the recent release of one of the tracks from this album "I Have Seen" by a band called Zero Seven, the vinyl album has become a collectors item and regularly fetches upwards of £30 on ebay ! Its a great album and we fans live in hope that one day the record company (Decca/Phillips) will have the common sense to release it on CD. Regards Derek |
